    How to get to Mas del Mar from wherever you are

    From Barcelona-El Prat airport to Mas del Mar

    > By car
    90 minutes. From the centre of Barcelona it takes a little less time. The indications to get to Mas del Mar by car are the following:

    1. Take the AP-7 highway toward Girona/França;
    2. Continue onto AP-7 up to exit 5 toward l’Escala/Empúries;
    3. Exit the highway and turn left toward l’Escala/Empúries;
    4. Go through two roundabouts and exit that road toward Ventalló (GI-624). Cross Ventalló, located at about 500 metres;
    5. After approximately 3 km, pass straight through the first roundabout and, on the next one, turn left (2nd exit) toward Armentera (GIV-6302);
    6. Cross Armentera toward Sant Pere Pescador (do not take the detour – located in the middle of Armentera – toward l’Escala);
    7. After crossing Armentera and right before arriving in Sant Pere Pescador there is a roundabout from where you can see the Fluvià River and a ceramics store. On this roundabout, take the first exit toward the beach (if you take the next exit you will find yourselves on the bridge and you will penetrate deeply into Sant Pere Pescador’s city centre);
    8. At approximately 200 metres, there is a smaller roundabout with four different exits. Take the 3rd and last exit;
    9. Exit the roundabout and, just 50 metres away (right at the first curve), leave the road and go toward Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park. Most of all do not turn right. This is the most delicate point of all the route and a lot of people get lost since the detour is right in the middle of the curve and, although there is a sign, it is not very visible;
    10. Go straight on – approximately 1 km – along a dirt track. Skirt around the river first and then go straight on until you find the house;
    11. At the end of that dirt track, concretely on the right, you will find Mas del Mar: Welcome! The car park is on your left (in front of the house).

    > By train and by bus from Barcelona-El Prat airport-El Prat
    In Barcelona-El Prat airport, there is a shuttle bus that goes from Terminal 1 (T1) to Terminal 2 (T2), from where a train with destination Bcn-Sants station departs. From Bcn-Sants there are several options to go to Mas del Mar:

    • Bus from Bcn-Sants station

  • There is a bus that goes to Empuriabrava. Then, you have to take another bus from there to Sant Pere Pescador,
  • There is a bus that goes to Girona’s station. Then, you have a to take another bus from there to Sant Pere Pescador.


    • Sant Pere Pescador’s bus station is approximately at 1,5 km from Mas del Mar.

    From Girona-Costa Brava airport to Mas del Mar

    > By car
    40 minutes. The indications to get to Mas del Mar by car are the following:

    1. Coming from Girona-Costa Brava airport, take the AP-7 highway toward Girona/França;
    2. Continue onto AP-7 up to exit 5 toward l’Escala/Empúries;
    3. Exit the highway and turn left toward l’Escala/Empúries (GI-623);

    • Sant Pere Pescador’s bus station is approximately at 1,5 km from Mas del Mar.

    From Figueres to Mas del Mar

    > By car
    15 minutes. The indications to get to Mas del Mar by car are the following:

    1. Leave Figueres toward Castelló d’Empúries/Roses and take the detour toward Sant Pere Pescador;
    2. Continue straight on across the village and then across the bridge until you find a roundabout;
    3. On this roundabout, take the 2nd exit toward the beach;
    4. At approximately 200 metres, there is a smaller roundabout with four different exits. Take the 3rd and last exit;
